The Fabulous Shades are based out of Greenville, SC. Founding members, Terry Robinson, Dana Jones and Rick Campbell have been playing together for over 35 years. Raised on Rock & Roll, Motown and Rhythm and Blues, The Fabulous Shades are seeking every opportunity possible to entertain, They formed The Fabulous Shades in The early 1980's. They love MUSIC! No place was too small or too large for tfs. "We've done a lot of shows over the years and made a ton of awesome friends along the way". Also performing with tfs are Mike "Mic Mac" McMurray, Kevin "Hawkman" Hawkins, Mike Richardson, Ken Wood, Kenneth Walker, Bobby Simmons and many others who have been known to drop by and sit in with what they call "The most fun band to perform with in the business" The Fabulous Shades are proud to have been nominated for 2 Cammy Awards in 2006 for "Song Of The Year" with "I Wanna Be At The Beach" and 2006 "Favorite New Artist". "I Wanna Be At The Beach" was the first original song for tfs and has reached #1 on 94.9 FM "The Surf Top 40 Countdown" Chart and has recently been inducted into The Surf Top 40 "Hall Of Fame" after 52 consecutive weeks on that chart. The same song also reached #1 on Pat Patterson's Sunny 103.5FM's "Sunny Beach Party Top 40" chart in Greenwood, SC and Bill Beason's Super CFL Top 20 chart in Newport, TN. "Shaggin' Man" was the next original released by tfs in September 2006 and has already reached #1 on some independent DJ's charts and is still climbing. Next is yet another original by tfs called "Hangover Bluz" released in May 2007 and has already charted at #1 as of October 1st on Rockn' Rollin' Nolan Adams chart in Roanoke, VA. and #11 on Pat Patterson's Chart in Greenwood, SC and recieving airplay on every major Beach. Boogie and Oldies Station across the region as is all of The Fabulous Shades original songs as well as all 12 songs recorded to date. |
